The whole situation was so frustrating. Dan had chosen to use paypal because it was supposed to be safe. He thought sending and receiving money would be a snap. Now he had received an email stating there was “suspicious activity” in his account. He was at risk of losing his paypal account and the money in it if the situation was not resolved. He logged into his account to see what was going on. He immediately recognized the transactions that were an issue. He was not sure how those transactions had been performed. He had not authorized them. He recognized the name of the other party as a known internet spam artist. This man was a crook and schemer. He would never have done business with him. He filled out the paypal abuse report. He gave what information he could about the other individual. He also made it plain that he had not authorized these transactions and never would have. It took about a month to get the whole matter corrected. He finally got his paypal account cleared of any restrictions. He was so glad that things could get back to normal.
